and born in the Year of the Horse. Sometimes astrology and horoscopes
are generally accurate. Sometimes it seems like when you were born
could affect your general disposition.
Another fun night at Hotel Biron with Joey. We had moscato, riesling,
and one other sweet white wine. Nice evening. I love this little place.

Had good company for dinner. Caught up with my friend who just returned from a trip in Vietnam. The sea scallops were good, and the halibut cooked perfectly and tenderly. The flavors were a little too salty and heavy for my taste, but otherwise good. The service was pretty decent, but not overly gracious. I might go back again at some point, as the ambience (particularly at the counter) was very fun. It was an open kitchen, and we got to see everything being cooked right in front of us.
The food didn't particularly make me feel like I need to return immediately, but the $1 oyster happy hour sounds good, as do the fish sandwiches. Ooh, Hawaiian prawn sandwich!
Plus, the place is politically correct: all the seafood served there is sustainable, whatever that means.
This time, let's try this again.
